This is how limit values work

The cut-off value is the minimum concentration of a drug that a test or assay is designed to detect. The lower the limit value an analysis can read, the smaller amount of drug in the body is required to detect the substance during drug testing.

Our laboratory performs analyzes with up to 100 times lower limit values than many Swedish laboratories. ➔ Detects drugs at lower intakes
Lower limit value gives longer track time

Sometimes the limit value is referred to as "cut-off" instead, the terms have the same meaning.

The concentration of a drug is always higher in the body closer to the time when the person took the drug and then the concentration decreases with time. How quickly the concentration decreases depends on several things, but mainly due to two factors: how much of the drug the person took and which drug it is.

In order to be able to trace a drug, it is required that you take the sample close to the drug intake in time, or that the analysis checks against a lower limit value that can reliably trace even small amounts of narcotics.

Up to 100 times more sensitive

A sample or an analysis that can be done against a lower limit value can therefore read a drug for a longer time than an analysis that is designed against a higher limit value. The laboratory we collaborate with performs analyzes with up to a hundred times lower limit values than many Swedish laboratories, which means that our analyzes have a longer detection time and can detect the presence of drugs even at lower concentrations and several days after ingestion.

A laboratory for drug analysis of the future

"The moment an analysis has discovered a new drug, a newer drug has started to be sold" - an illustration to show the speed of the drug market. New drugs spread and cost human suffering and lost manpower. We collaborate with the German laboratory MVZ Labor Dessau, which is located just outside Berlin. They operate in a scientific environment that early discovers new drugs on the European market. Therefore, we can always be sure of never missing a new drug.

Professional drivers drink less - but take drugs

A study presented by the Norwegian Road and Research Institute shows that professional drivers seem to know the risks of alcohol to a greater extent than private individuals. But the same difference is not visible when it comes to drugs. The percentage of professional drivers who have died who were affected by illegal drugs or drugs classified as narcotics is at a comparable level to car drivers.
