Så funkar detektionstider

Three factors interact to correctly interpret a drug's detection time in drug testing: intake, half-life and limit value. Therefore, the detection time varies between different drugs.

Rapid tests in urine
The detection time is the time you can detect the intake of drugs.

Amfetamin (AMP)

4 dygn

Bensodiazepiner (BZD)

4-7 dygn vid enstaka intag, ca 4 veckor vid långvarigt missbruk

Buprenorfin (BUP)

5 dygn

Cannabis (THC)

4 dygn vid enstaka intag, flera månader vid långvarigt missbruk

Ecstasy (MDMA)

Our detection times per drug with rapid tests

It is important to note that the detection times we provide are approximate. How long a drug can be detected is highly individual and depends (apart from the half-life and limit value) on a variety of personal factors such as, for example, how large the intake was, the test subject's metabolism and weight, the amount of liquid the person has drunk recently, how long the abuse has been going on and how much taken by the respective drug. The detection times given are therefore a guide rather than a conclusion.

Drug/substance
~ Detection time urine
Intake

How much and when your patient or test subject has taken off the drug you are testing for matters. A larger amount of the drug can naturally be traced for a long time because the breakdown takes place over a longer period of time.

Half-life

The half-life is the time it takes for a substance in the body to drop to half the concentration of the amount of narcotics that the body took in at one time. The half-life is constant. This means that no matter how much the person took, it always takes the same amount of time for the concentration to be reduced to half. How long the half-life is differs from drug to drug.

Limit

In order to detect a drug with a test stick, the stick needs a minimum amount of a certain substance to react to. The minimum amount is the limit value for when the rapid test can show the presence of a drug in the urine. The limit value can also be referred to as cut-off or breaking point. When the concentration of the substance is lower than the limit value, the result is negative and when the concentration is higher, the test shows a positive result.

Urine rapid tests

Our rapid tests for urine are designed to detect the presence of drugs as effectively as possible, but at the same time check to minimize the number of incorrect results as much as possible.

Searchable cross-reactions

Rapid tests done in urine samples can give positive results for certain drugs even if the person has not taken the drug in question in its pure form. This is due to cross-reactions that occur when the test's antibodies react with a medication the person is taking. All known cross-reactions are documented and available for you to search.

Så funkar gränsvärden

The limit value is the minimum concentration of a drug that a test or analysis can detect. The lower the concentration of a drug an analysis can read from a sample, the lower the limit value of the analysis.

Our tests are designed to optimize drug discovery while excluding false positives.
